Specifically, the publication cited a source as saying that the Frenchman, who raced for Haas in the twilight years of his F1 career, is set to ink a contract with Dale Coyne Racing.
Grosjean declined to comment on the reported move when approached by RACER.com.
He was previously linked with a move to A.J. Foyt Racing, but they later opted to sign Dalton Kellett.
In November, Romain Grosjean said he is potentially interested in competing in the World Endurance Championship (WEC) with Kevin Magnussen, who he raced alongside for several years at Haas.
“I’m looking at endurance racing. If you’re good with your teammate and you’re having a great time with them and the whole team, it can be a very good experience,” Grosjean said.
“Actually, doing Le Mans 24 Hours virtually, with three team-mates, made me feel really special and made me really want to do it in real life.”
This week, it was reported that Magnussen is set to compete in WEC with Peugeot in 2022, though the Dane is yet to confirm his next move.
