After a mostly positive inaugural race in 2022, the Miami Grand Prix is hoping to go to another level next month, as the venue prepares itself to host the fifth round of the 2023 F1 season.
Last season’s Miami GP saw huge crowds, great weather and an interesting marina, which certainly grabbed the spotlight on social media.
A ‘fake marina’ was designed at the venue, with boats having been docked there despite no water being present.
As a result, the venue was somewhat mocked online, with it having failed to replicate the stunning viewing spots typically seen at the Monaco Grand Prix.

However, according to US sports business leader Front Office Sports, the ‘fake marina’ will feature actual water this season, as part of a $67k VIP experience.
Dubbed the ‘Sunset Cabbana’, VIP guests will be able to watch the action from somewhat of an actual harbour, with boats set to be accompanied by actual water this season.
Each cabana will be able to hold 15 people, making for a great atmosphere.
The new VIP package isn’t the only addition to the Miami International Autodrome this season, with an additional 3,000 seats having been fitted.
There has reportedly been a high demand for tickets, with the Miami GP kicking-off the first of three races in the United States this season.
President of the Miami GP Tyler Epp said they were “committed to providing an unparalleled fan experience to ensure Miami will be one of the must-attend races on the Formula 1 calendar for the next decade,” as reported by PlanetF1.com.

“Due to overwhelming demand we have been maximising the venue to increase grandstand capacity, expand hospitality and to improve the experience for our General Admission Campus Pass ticket holders, to give the opportunity for even more fans to experience the incredible spectacle of the Miami Grand Prix.
