At the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, Lando Norris expressed dissatisfaction over Lewis Hamilton’s driving during the qualifiers, which was quickly dismissed by McLaren’s chief Zak Brown.
During the final outlap in Q2, Norris reported over the team radio, “Yeah, Hamilton swerved pretty aggressively towards me. I had to avoid him, mate.”
Despite his concerns, both Sky Sports F1 pundit Martin Brundle and Brown found the incident to be non-consequential.
Brundle commented, “I don’t see an issue there,” and Brown concurred, “Just pointing out some activity on the track but I agree with Martin, I don’t think it will come to anything.”

Despite the controversy, Norris, along with Hamilton and George Russell, completed a trio of British drivers leading the pack, marking the first such occurrence since 1968.
Although Hamilton initially seemed poised for pole position, it was Russell who ultimately secured it, relegating Norris to third place after he had to abandon his final lap attempt.
Reflecting on the qualifiers, Norris remained upbeat about his prospects, saying, “I’m happy with P3, three Brits in the top three is pretty cool here.
Good laps by George and Lewis. I want the rain again tomorrow, I’m excited! Bring the fight to George and Lewis. We’re going to have some good battles!”
Hamilton, who last won an F1 race in Saudi Arabia in 2022, emphasized teamwork with Russell to maintain their lead over Norris and Max Verstappen.
He praised the team and the supportive crowd, “Big thanks to this incredible crowd; three Brits in the top three.
And congratulations to George, he did such an amazing job,” adding, “We definitely didn’t expect to be front row this weekend but this is huge for us.
“The car felt fantastic.”
Russell, fresh from victories in Brazil and Austria, was elated with his performance, “What a feeling!
“At the start of this year we couldn’t have dreamt of being on pole here,” he remarked.
“One-two for me and Lewis, Lando P3.
“Just mega.
“It’s down to all these fans as well.
“They give us so much energy.
“The car at the moment is feeling so good.”
He also looked forward to the upcoming race, “It really came alive in qualy.
“What a joy to drive around this circuit.
