The main story of qualifying for the Sakhir Grand Prix is Valtteri Bottas taking pole ahead of George Russell, who’s filling in for Lewis Hamilton after the seven-time World Champion tested positive for coronavirus.
However, Alex Albon also attracted plenty of attention from F1 fans on social media, as he put in yet another poor qualifying performance and ended up almost ten positions behind his Red Bull team-mate.

Specifically, Albon was knocked out of Q2 after putting in a lap time only good enough for P12, while Max Verstappen will start the Sakhir GP third on the grid.
Spectators reacted to this by poking fun at the Thai driver and suggesting Red Bull should replace him with Sergio Perez at the end of the season.
