Carlos Sainz makes Ferrari pledge amid Lewis Hamilton surprise

Carlos Sainz is set to conclude his four-year tenure with the Italian outfit in Abu Dhabi this December, during which he has secured two victories.

Carlos Sainz has affirmed his unwavering commitment to Ferrari and teammate Charles Leclerc despite his impending departure from the Scuderia at the end of the year in favour of Lewis Hamilton.

The Spaniard is set to conclude his four-year tenure with the Italian outfit in Abu Dhabi this December, during which he has secured two victories.

However, Ferrari’s high-profile driver switch has left Sainz seemingly isolated, prompting concerns that personal agendas may overshadow team cohesion at Maranello.

Yet, speaking at the unveiling of Ferrari’s new SF-24 earlier this week, Sainz dispelled any doubts about his loyalty and pledged his full support to his team and Leclerc if called upon.

“Of course. I’ve always been a team player,” Sainz affirmed.

“Everything I’ve done in Formula 1, I think I’ve been a great team player, I’ve always been exemplary in that sense as a driver for any team.

“I will definitely help Charles if I have to, the same way that I expect Charles to help me if I fight for a World Championship myself too.”

Sainz remains determined to give his utmost and refuses to withhold any effort in his quest to conclude his Ferrari chapter on a high note.
