Team-mate Lewis Hamilton will start the race in P2, ahead of Max Verstappen in the Red Bull.

Pierre Gasly, who will stay at Scuderia AlphaTauri next year, put in an exceptional lap to qualify P4.

Daniel Ricciardo will start in P5, ahead of Alex Albon and Charles Leclerc.

Daniil Kvyat, Carlos Sainz and Lando Norris round out the top ten.
