Norris: Anyone Driving A Red Bull Looks Like A Hero

Norris will be partnered with ex-Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo from 2021.

Mclaren driver Lando Norris has said that “anyone who goes in a Red Bull looks like a hero”, pointing to the ease of overtaking other cars in the RB16 and its predecessors.

He made the comment when asked for his thoughts on ex-Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo, who will leave Renault to join Mclaren next season.

“Since he’s been with Renault he’s made some good overtakes, but nothing which he did in Red Bull,” Noris said

“Anyone who goes in a Red Bull looks like a hero. Pierre [Gasly] has looked like a hero in a Red Bull with his overtaking, Alex [Albon] has, Max [Verstappen], Sebastian [Vettel], and Daniel [Ricciardo].”

Ricciardo’s gamble to leave Red Bull for Renault at the end of 2018 hasn’t paid off, with the French works team yet to give him a car capable of fighting for wins and podiums.

The Renault F1 team will be renamed Alpine next year and its cars with switch to a predominantly blue livery.

Fernando Alonso, who won two World Championships with Renault, will re-join the team next year.
