With fans descending on the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya this weekend for the 2023 Spanish Grand Prix, two fans sought to ensure they will never forget their visit to the track.
With the pitlane open for visitors ahead of the race, a boyfriend got one knee to pop the question to his lucky girlfriend outside reigning world champion Max Verstappen’s garage.
Looking overjoyed, she said yes before kissing her now fiancé, as those in the surrounding garages applauded the young couple, guaranteeing they will remember this moment for the rest of their lives.
“Something else that is very exciting is this young couple who just got engaged, hoping a bit of the old Max magic will rub off on them because he popped the question just outside Max’s garage earlier on,” Sky Sports presenter Natalie Pinkham said.
