Lewis Hamilton Is ‘From Another Planet’, But Not As ‘Complete’ As Schumacher – Rosberg

Nico Rosberg said there hasn’t been another driver like Michael Schumacher since he left Formula One.

Over the course of his Formula One career, Nico Rosberg had the privilege of having Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher, two of the all-time greats, as team-mates.

In fact, he even managed to outscore both Hamilton and Schumacher in equal machinery, so he is well placed to compare the two drivers and give his take on the debate as to who is better.

Following the season finale in Abu Dhabi, Rosberg described Schumacher as the “most complete racing driver” but he nevertheless still rates Lewis Hamilton very highly.

“Schumacher was certainly the most complete racing driver of all,” Rosberg told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper.

“The way he experienced this sport, the motivation to improve himself and the team in every conceivable area, that’s pretty huge. I don’t think that has happened a second time in Formula 1.

“Hamilton is a natural talent, a driver from another planet. He sits in a car and is immediately fast, which is quite impressive,” the 2016 F1 World Champion added.

With Hamilton reportedly close to signing a new contract with the Mercedes F1 Team, it’s likely that the Brit will break Schumacher’s record of seven Championships next season.

That is, of course, assuming that his Mercedes team-mate Valtteri Bottas doesn’t considerably up his game and Red Bull don’t produce a car that allows Max Verstappen to take the fight to Mercedes.
