With 2023 now very much here, it’s time to start looking ahead to the new season of Formula 1, which just a couple of months away.
The 2023 Formula 1 season is starting much earlier than usual, with the Bahrain Grand Prix once again kicking-off the season, but on March 5.
With less than 60 days until the season opener, fans are already getting incredibly excited about what this year could hold for Formula 1.
2022 wasn’t the best year, despite more overtakes happening than in 2021, with a lack of a title fight perhaps being the reason for the underwhelming campaign.

2023 has all the ingredients to be a sensational season, with Verstappen going for a third consecutive title, Ferrari pushing to claim their first since 2008, Mercedes attempting to return to the front, and a whole heap of driver changes and new rookies!
With all of that in mind, the official F1 Twitter page asked fans a simple question, “What is your biggest wish for 2023?”.
With Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton having endured such a woeful 2022 campaign, many commented that they ‘wish’ Hamilton will fight for an unprecedented eighth World Championship, with one Twitter user being confident that the 37-year-old “definitely” can do it.
“I need Mercedes to help Lewis Hamilton to finally surpass Schumacher. It won’t be easy with Verstappen around but he can do it. He definitely can,” wrote David Ben on Twitter.
A number of fans commented that they want Hamilton to win a ‘ninth title’ in 2023, with those, of course, counting 2021 as Hamilton’s eighth.
Apart from those wanting Hamilton to win the title, many also commented that they want to see Fernando Alonso claim a third title, with his previous two having come in 2005 and 2006.
Alonso winning the 2022 title for Aston Martin is certainly unlikely; however, isn’t that what a wish is for?

A lot of fans also expressed their hope that Lando Norris will be “right in the mix” in 2023, with many fans wanting to see the McLaren star taking on Verstappen, Charles Leclerc, and George Russell.
“That Lando Norris gets a car that matches his talent,” said Paul Sample on Twitter.
“Let him get right in the mix. Would love to see max, Charles, George and Lando actually fighting it out at the front.”
