In the entertaining challenge, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri were equipped with inverted goggles and tasked with the unique challenge of drawing their respective home circuits: Silverstone and Melbourne.
When questioned about his visual experience with the goggles, Norris couldn’t help but inject humour into the situation, responding, “I’m seeing my crotch.”
As laughter ensued, Norris valiantly attempted to sketch the Silverstone circuit, producing a rendition that bore little resemblance to the real track, further fuelling the jovial atmosphere.
In a candid interview with Sky Sports, Lando Norris shared his thoughts on McLaren’s progress and their aspirations for the upcoming 2024 season:
“Absolutely. We’re not miles away.
“We’re beating one of them already, just not the faster one.
“To be where we are now, I didn’t think any of us were expecting it or even thinking it at the beginning of the year.
“So we are definitely taking where we are, we are taking our podiums, and are taking our double podium.”
“But we know we still have a lot of things we can improve that we are going to improve, and in such a short amount of time from the beginning of the year, we have been able to turn things around massively and start to close the gap comparing to every other team to Red Bull.
“So, I think that’s a good sign, and it’s only been one year of a good amount of progress and we know a lot of things to come.

“So I’m excited for the future.”
McLaren’s journey throughout the season has been nothing short of remarkable. Initially starting at the back of the grid and appearing as one of the slower teams, their relentless in-season development has propelled them up the rankings.
However, the path ahead remains challenging. Closing the gap and mounting a serious challenge against the dominant Red Bull Racing team in the 2024 season will be no easy feat.
