Austrian water treatment company BWT will stay on as a sponsor of the Aston Martin F1 Team following their rebrand from Racing Point this upcoming season.

BWT’s sponsorship of the Silverstone-based team goes back to 2017, and last year, they became their title sponsor.

Aston Martin’s 2021 car will have a predominantly green livery, but it will feature some pink accents as part of BWT’s continued partnership with the team.

“While the look and feel of the new team to be launched on Wednesday 3rd March will be very different, featuring an all-new base colour, today’s news ensures that subtle BWT brand accents as well as BWT brand logos will remain a feature of the all-new Aston Martin team livery,” the team said in a statement on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, BWT CEO Andreas Weißenbacher said the company is looking forward to continuing supporting the team as it looks to make its way up F1’s pecking order.

“I am proud to continue supporting this wonderful team of people and to start a new chapter with Aston Martin’s return to Formula 1,” Weißenbacher said.

“Having seen the team enjoy such a strong 2020 season, we believe the years ahead are full of great promise and we want to continue supporting this team’s journey towards the front of the grid,” he added.

Earlier this month, it was reported that BWT were in discussions with Haas and Williams over a possible 2021 sponsorship deal, but with them staying on as a sponsor of the Lawrence Stroll-owned outfit, it’s now unlikely they will ink a new sponsorship deal with another F1 team.
