Former Racing Point title sponsor BWT is considering a partnership with Haas and Williams, according to reports.

The Austrian company had a multi-year sponsorship deal with Racing Point, but this is likely to end following the Silverstone-based team’s rebrand to Aston Martin, with them opting to ditch BWT’s preferred distinctive pink livery for British racing green.

On Thursday, Motorsport.com cited sources as saying that BWT is “looking at two choices to keep its colours in grand prix racing” – namely Haas and Williams.

Ralf Schumacher, uncle of 2020 F2 Champion Mick, who will be making his F1 debut with Haas next month, recently revealed that the American racing outfit was in talks with a new potential sponsor.

“A sponsor has just become available. Not that this particular colour comes into play with Mick,” the former F1 driver said.

Meanwhile, Williams declined to comment on reports that it has been discussing a potential sponsorship arrangement with BWT.

“Williams Racing is shaping an exciting new brand direction and commercial strategy and this is resulting in significant interest as we begin a new era for the team,” the Grove-based team said in a statement.

“By their nature these discussions are confidential so as a policy, we do not comment on any specifics or speculation,” they added.
