Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen were the only other drivers to receive a sizeable chunk of the vote, with them getting seven and five percent, respectively.
The poll, which asked around 1,300 readers who they consider to be the greatest driver of the current F1 field, was carried out hot on the heels of Lewis Hamilton sealing his seventh title at Istanbul to equal Michael Schumacher’s record.

Sebastian Vettel dominated in a similar fashion with Red Bull from 2010 to 2013, winning all four Championships contested in that period.
Following the Turkish Grand Prix, Vettel described Hamilton as the “greatest of our era”, but as the numbers show, not everyone shares this opinion.
