Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has joked that he will rename his two cats Lewis and Toto.
The Championship leader made the joke while taking part in a 24-hour Esports race, which he decided to complete to make sure his “bruised” body was ready for this weekend’s Hungarian GP after he suffered a high-impact collision at Silverstone.

“The cats are running through the sim… I hope the cat doesn’t jump behind my brake pedal because it will become a pancake,” Verstappen said on a live stream.
Asked by another streamer for his cats’ names, Verstappen replied: “Jimmy and Sassy. I’ll call them Lewis and Toto.”
Sir Lewis Hamilton was handed a 10-second stop-and-go penalty for causing the aforementioned collision with Verstappen, but Red Bull have requested a review as they believe this punishment wasn’t severe enough.
Speaking on Tuesday, Verstappen said he was feeling positive heading into the final race prior to the summer break as he had no trouble completing the 24-hour Esports race.

“I’m happy to get back on track in Hungary this weekend, especially after the last race result,” he said.
“I’m a little bruised, of course, but that’s normal after such a big impact but I’m training and feeling good.
“I did a 24-hour sim race this week and it was a good test to see how my body would react to spending time sat in one position and behind screens for a long time. I felt absolutely fine which makes me feel positive heading into the weekend. I’m definitely ready to go again!”
