Toto Wolff issues message to Lewis Hamilton fans

Mercedes has had a rocky start to the 2023 season but the situation appeared to improve in Australia with a strong qualifying and race performance.

Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has urged fans of the team to continue supporting them despite the recent challenges creating a tough environment for the Constructor.

In a video message posted online by Mercedes, Wolff told said: “I just wanted to tell you that we are really grateful for how you have supported us this season so far.”

“It’s not been easy, but if it was, it wouldn’t be as exciting, and it wouldn’t be Formula 1 – the pinnacle of motor racing,” he added.

With the extended April break offering a chance for teams to return to the factory and perfect their set up and development process, Mercedes will hope for a rebound when teams race again at Baku.
