This is how you can win a Lando Norris signed helmet

McLaren fell just short of fourth in the Constructors' Championship, resulting in less prize money.

2022 has perhaps not been the season McLaren would’ve been hoping for following a very successful 2021 campaign, with the Woking-based side having certainly returned to the midfield this year.

After challenging the frontrunners at the vast majority of the races in 2021, McLaren were very rarely capable of challenging the top three, let alone the top five.

The British side were only able to claim one sole podium this season, thanks once again to Lando Norris.

Norris claimed his only podium of 2022 back at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, his best result by some margin this season.

As always, the 23-year-old has been incredibly reliable all year and has been the team’s number one driver without a shadow of a doubt.

He claimed 17 points finishes from the 22 races in 2022, with him claiming a total of 122 points, enough to claim the infamous ‘best of the rest’ spot.

The number seven has actually become hated by the Brit, who finished P7 six times across the season.

He still fared considerably better than his now former team-mate Daniel Ricciardo, who was announced as Red Bull’s development driver for 2023.

Ricciardo managed just seven points finishes across the entire season, making for a yearly total of just 37 points.

Things certainly didn’t click for the 33-year-old this season, who has admitted that a sabbatical next season from full-time racing is exactly what he needs.

In the Constructors’, McLaren just lost out on P4 to Alpine, who they’ve been embroiled in a battle with for the vast majority of the season.

McLaren fell 14 points short of the Enstone-based team, meaning the British side missed out on the considerable financial reward for finishing fourth.

Nevertheless, the British side have shared their thankfulness to their fans, by announcing a competition where a lucky fan can win a “one-off” Norris replica helmet, specifically with his Abu Dhabi design.

“Inspired by the one-off helmet creations in Abu Dhabi, we’ve got a special McLaren Plus competition where you could take home one of your own!” wrote McLaren on their website.

“Enter for the chance of winning one of three limited edition Team 1:2 scale helmets signed by Lando Norris.
