F1 Supremo Denies Ferrari Bias As He Admits Their ‘Big Role’

Formula One’s commercial rights holders Liberty Media do not favour Ferrari due to their history in the sport, F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali has insisted.

The former Ferrari team principal said that although the Scuderia certainly has a “big role” and a rich history in the sport, Liberty Media is committed to promoting a “great battle” throughout the grid.

“They [Liberty Media] support a great battle between all teams,” Domenicali said in an interview with Italy’s Corriere dello Sport newspaper.

He also discussed the sport’s return to Imola for the upcoming Emilia Romagna Grand Prix this coming weekend.

“Unfortunately it was not possible to race with an audience in Imola this year and I regret that very much,” Domenicali said.
