During the Friday afternoon Free Practice 1 session at the Hungarian Grand Prix, a young Sergio Perez fan was left in tears after the Mexican driver collided with the wall at turn five. 

Perez’s entry into turn five saw him dip a wheel onto the grass, causing his car to spin into the tyre barrier and prompt a red flag. 

The incident visibly frustrated the Red Bull pit wall and set the team at a disadvantage for the rest of the weekend. 

However, the most heartbreaking moment of the incident was caught on camera, featuring a young fan crying in the stands as his father tried to console him.

As the broadcast continued during FP2, the focus shifted to bring a heartwarming resolution to the young fan’s distress. 

The Red Bull team visited the young Perez fan in the stands and presented him with a VIP pass, ensuring an unforgettable experience at his first-ever Hungarian Grand Prix. 

The gesture was a testament to Red Bull’s commitment to their fans and their ability to create positive memories amidst challenging situations.

During the Sky Sports F1 FP2 broadcast, Ted Kravitz shared the touching update, revealing that the young fan’s father had attended each of the last 20 Hungarian Grand Prix events.
