Sebastian Vettel Suggests He ‘Should’ve Crashed’ Into Charles Leclerc At Bahrain

Sebastian Vettel’s time at Ferrari is coming to an end, but there was yet more intra-team drama at the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The two Ferraris nearly made contact on the opening lap of the Bahrain GP, and Sebastian Vettel was evidently less than impressed with team-mate Charles Leclerc.

After almost making contact with Leclerc, a furious Vettel got on the radio to his race engineer and suggested that he perhaps should have made contact.

“Again! He can’t just do that, as if I wasn’t there. It’s the same as Austria, seriously. This time… should have crashed, maybe that was the better option!” Vettel said.

His race engineer simply replied “Understood,” before Vettel continued his rant.

The move was similar to the overtake Leclerc pulled on Vettel earlier this season at the Styrian Grand Prix.

On that occasion, the Ferrari team-mates did make contact, resulting in damage to both cars.
