Following George Russell’s faultless performance at the Sakhir Grand Prix over the weekend, F1 fans have been calling on Mercedes to switch Valtteri Bottas with the young Brit next season.
And now, fans have noticed that Bottas has recently removed any mention of Mercedes from his Instagram bio, triggering speculation that he could soon be dropped by the Silver Arrows.

The change was first picked up by an F1 meme page, which also noticed that George Russell no longer has any mention of the Williams F1 Team in his Instagram bio.
However, with Bottas under contract with Mercedes for next season and Lewis Hamilton reportedly close to signing a new deal, it looks highly unlikely that Russell will join the Silver Arrows before 2022.
However, he may have another chance to go for the win at the season finale at Abu Dhabi, assuming Hamilton isn’t able to compete.
