Former Haas team sponsor Rich Energy have taken to Twitter following the unveiling of a specially modified Formula 2 car, which is being driven by Hollywood actor Brad Pitt.

Filming for the unnamed F1 movie involving Pitt has been taking place this weekend at the British Grand Prix, with a garage having been designed for movie’s fictional team.

The pit-lane this weekend at the Silverstone International Circuit essentially features 11 teams, with fictional side ‘APX GP’ having been set up between Ferrari and Mercedes.

Two cars for fictional drivers Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce (being played by actors Pitt and Damson Idris) feature inside the garage, which looks almost identical to a traditional F1 set-up.

APX GP boast a black and gold livery, incredibly similar to a design run by Haas in 2019, when sponsored by Rich Energy.

To no surprise, Rich Energy were quick to take to social media about how similar the APX GP livery was to their previous design.

Rich Energy noted that “imitation is the sincerest form of flattery”, whilst they also stated that their 2019 livery is “frequently voted the best in recent years”.

“I know they are going to be on track and from what I’ve heard, Brad’s done a good job with the driving and stuff like that.”
