After a successful Miami Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly took a well-earned trip to Milan’s iconic stadium, the San Siro.
Alpine have struggled for form so far this season and it’s not gone unpunished. CEO Laurent Rossi has not held back his frustrations having stated he “won’t wait until the end of the year” to make changes to the Formula 1 outfit.
Following his scathing comments in a recent interview, all Alpine associates will be riddled with apprehension.
Thankfully, for Alpine, Gasly was able to produce his strongest performance of the season finishing the Miami GP in a respectable eighth place.
Fellow teammate and countryman Esteban Ocon finished three seconds behind in ninth. This takes Gasly’s tally for the season up to eight, standing tenth in the drivers’ championship.
Inter Milan one step closer to Champions League Final
The Frenchman took to Instagram to announce his arrival in Milan. It was a huge night for football as Inter Milan took on AC Milan in a mouthwatering semi-final first leg of the Champions League.
It was Inter Milan who prevailed, winning the fixture 2-0.
Gasly will be eagerly awaiting the next Italian spectacle, swapping the stands for the cockpit, with the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix just around the corner.
He’ll be hoping to improve on last year’s result. Despite his efforts Gasly missed out on the points, finishing the race in 12th.
