Picture: Unlikely trio of F1 drivers spotted partying together

Lando Norris was the only non-frontrunning driver to claim a podium in 2022.

With another season of Formula 1 completed, a vast number of the drivers have been seen letting their hair down and partying the night away – a completely understandable source of entertainment following a gruelling calendar.

Mick Schumacher, Lando Norris and Esteban Ocon were all spotted partying together recently, with a photo of their time together having been posted onto social media.

Given Norris is seemingly very handy in the DJ booth, he was perhaps showing Schumacher and Ocon how to party the night away, with the McLaren driver having been captured clubbing with Max Verstappen several times.

A photo of the trio having a good time was posted onto social media by a Formula 1 fan, who couldn’t contain their shock of getting the ‘money shot’.

“If someone told me at the beginning of the season that I would get a picture of Mick, Lando and Esteban partying together I would’ve laughed,” said a Twitter user.

All three drivers endured differing seasons, with Norris having come off better than most.

The 23-year-old was staggeringly the only midfield driver to claim a podium in 2022, with the rostrum having been dominated by Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes all season.

Norris ended the season as ‘best of the rest’ in the Drivers’ Championship, after claiming seventh.

He was disappointed, though, with his side having missed out on fourth in the Constructors’ Championship to Alpine, with Ocon and Fernando Alonso having done enough for the French side.

Ocon enjoyed a solid campaign, with the Frenchman having ended the year in eighth spot, 30 points behind Norris in seventh.

For Schumacher, it wasn’t a year to write home about, with the 23-year-old having been dropped by Haas for 2023.

The German’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season anyway; however, there was some hope that the Americans would retain the son of Michael Schumacher.

Expensive errors and a lack of experience ultimately resulted in Haas opting for the experienced Nico Hulkenberg for next season, leaving Schumacher without a seat.

It is heavily speculated, though, that the German will find himself at Mercedes next season, with Toto Wolff very interested in signing Schumacher as their new reserve driver.

Ocon is believed to have tried to get the young German Alonso’s seat at Alpine, with the Frenchman being very good friends with the driver.

Of course, Alpine opted for Ocon’s rival Pierre Gasly rather than Schumacher, something which will be fascinating to watch next season.
