Ocon Hoping Messi Will Propel PSG To UCL Glory

French F1 driver Esteban Ocon has described Lionel Messi joining PSG from Barcelona as “unbelievable” – and he is hopeful that the Argentine will be the difference-maker in the Parisian team’s quest for European glory.

“Well it’s so exciting,” Ocon said when asked for his thoughts on Messi joining PSG.

“I think we can clearly say we have the best players in the world in our team. That is unbelievable. It reinforces our assets, clearly.

“You know, we haven’t won the Champions League yet and I hope that’s going to help us win it this year.

“Yeah, it’s awesome, it’s so exciting to have such a legend in the team. But yeah, we have many legends in the team now, so that’s awesome. “

Asked for his take on speculation linking Kylian Mbappe with a move to Real Madrid, Ocon said he is a “bit worried” and hopes that the French forward will stay at the Parc des Princes.

“Yeah, I saw that, I saw that. I’m a bit worried,” he replied.

After winning his first-ever Formula 1 grand prix last time out in Hungary, Ocon currently sits 10th in the Drivers’ Standings.

In the same interview, Ocon said that he is excited to be returning to Spa-Francorchamps for the upcoming Belgian Grand Prix as it is the scene of many good memories.
