Netflix has officially confirmed a brand new documentary about seven-time Formula 1 world champion Michael Schumacher, set for global release on October 2, 2026.
The film is titled Schumacher ’94 – The Birth of a Legend, and it centres on the turbulent and historic 1994 Formula 1 season that defined a generation of motorsport.
That year, a 25-year-old Schumacher drove for Benetton and claimed his first world championship title in one of the sport’s most dramatic and controversial campaigns.
Corinna Schumacher, Michael’s wife, plays a starring role in the documentary, offering personal insights into their early romance and the extraordinary rise of what became known as “Schumi mania.”
