Haas F1 rookie Nikita Mazepin has had more than his fair share of incidents in his debut season in the pinnacle of motorsport.
And the Turkish Grand Prix was no exception for the Russian, with him almost colliding with Sir Lewis Hamilton as the seven-time World Champion tried to lap his Haas car on a high-speed section of the circuit.

As Hamilton gained on Mazepin, the F1 rookie cut across in front of the Mercedes, forcing the Brit to lift off the throttle to avoid a collision.
Speaking after the race, Mazepin apologised to Hamilton and said he was ultimately “driving blind” due to the wet conditions.
“I feel very sorry for Lewis. I can’t see anything in the mirrors. I need clear instructions where the other cars are. I was driving blind,” he said.
Hamilton then lapped Mazepin later down the straight, and went on to finish the Turkish Grand Prix in fifth position.
His Championship rival, Max Verstappen, finished in P2 to reclaim his position at the top of the Drivers’ Standings.
Mazepin spent most of the grand prix battling his team-mate, Mick Schumacher, at the back of the grid.
The Russian finished the race last, while Schumacher – who had qualified in P14 but fell to the back of the grid after being tagged by Fernando Alonso – finished in P19.
