Lewis Hamilton’s old Pagani Zonda 760 LH has been involved in a serious accident in Wales, after the driver lost control of the V12 beast.
Hamilton bought the car in 2015 for €1.4 million, before selling it for €10 million in January 2022.
The person he sold it too has since crashed the car in the Penmaenbach Tunnel in Conwy, Wales.
According to reports, the crash caused damage to the front and rear suspension of the car, whilst there was also extensive damage to the purple bodywork specially designed for Hamilton.

Thankfully, the damage was only to the car and not to the person, who escaped unharmed.
It’s not actually the first time that the car has been crashed, as Hamilton was involved in a minor accident himself the year he bought it.
Hamilton crashed into two parked cars in Monaco, an accident he blamed on “heavy partying”.
Whilst the seven-time World Champion loved the sound of the Italian car, he hated the way it drove.
He went as far as describing the Zonda as “terrible to drive”.
“The Zonda is terrible to drive. It’s the best-sounding car I own, but handling-wise it’s the worst,” Hamilton said in 2015, as reported by PlanetF1.com.
When discussing the cause of his crash, he put it down to “heavy partying and not much rest for a week and a half,” he admitted in 2015.
“I am a bit run down. I have been non-stop and trying to fit training in at the same time and not getting a lot of sleep.”
Whether Hamilton has discovered that his old car has been crashed or not is unknown; however, somebody will likely ask him for his thoughts presumably at the Dutch Grand Prix next weekend.

Zandvoort will bring the summer break to a close next weekend, with Hamilton likely targeting a victory in the second half of the season.
He’s had a good year so far given the package Mercedes has given him, which isn’t capable of challenging Red Bull currently.
Hamilton has very much been Mercedes’ leader this season, as he sits comfortably ahead of George Russell in the Drivers’ Championship.
