Lewis Hamilton wows fans with shirtless photo

Lewis Hamilton attended the Coachella festival in the United States last weekend.

Seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton has clearly been making the most of Formula 1’s impromptu Spring break, following the cancellation of the Chinese Grand Prix.

A four-week break is currently being served by F1 ahead of the Azerbaijan Grand Prix next weekend, with the traditional race in China having been scheduled for last weekend.

With the Chinese GP having been cancelled due to their COVID-19 guidelines at the time of the calendar being confirmed, F1 has had a four-week break between the Australian Grand Prix and Azerbaijan, despite just three races having taken place.

With 20 races still remaining, a four-week break is certainly far from ideal, however, the likes of Hamilton have been making the most of the time away from F1.

Hamilton spent last weekend in America at the world-famous Coachella festival, which takes place in the California desert, where Bad Bunny, Blackpink and Frank Ocean were the headline acts.

The 103-time race winner posted several photos of his weekend onto Instagram, with his reel having started with a blurred shirtless snap of the Mercedes star.

Some of the other photos which accompanied the caption ‘Nights’, were of Hamilton with popstar Justin Bieber, London-born world champion fencer Miles Chamley-Watson and several other friends

Last weekend wasn’t the first time that Hamilton has attended Coachella, with the Stevenage-born driver having been at the festival in 2019.

He also posted about the festival in 2019 where he explained how “truly grateful” he was to be there, surrounded by “great friends and positive vibes”.

“Coachella 2019 was one of the funniest times of my life thanks to great friends and positive vibes,” Hamilton said.

“I feel so lucky to have found along with my life’s journey such amazing people, I am truly grateful!”

With the festival now over for another year, Hamilton’s attention will likely start to turn to next weekend’s race at the Baku City Circuit, given how challenging a venue it is.

Azerbaijan will, of course, host the first sprint race of the season, meaning Hamilton has the chance to score further points throughout the weekend.

He may perhaps enter the weekend somewhat wary, though, given that he suffered from extreme spinal pain during the race in Baku last season.
