Lewis Hamilton to stop drinking again

Lewis Hamilton has had a mixed season thus far, and he could be on for another winless yet.

Lewis Hamilton, the renowned seven-time world champion, has revealed his intention to refrain from drinking alcohol, returning to his teetotal lifestyle. 

Hamilton has historically avoided alcohol as part of his regimen to maintain peak physical condition for racing. 

In a 2019 interview with The New York Times, he expressed his commitment to this choice, stating that it was a matter of “changing your mind” and something he genuinely desired to do.

Hamilton stated, “It is just about changing your mind.

“We’re taught all these things from a young age about what you should and should not eat. 

“I think it’s about educating yourself and being open to it. 

“It’s something I really wanted to do.”

However, recent reports indicate that Hamilton has relaxed his stringent approach in recent times.

According to the F1: Chequered Flag podcast, Hamilton admitted, “I’ve generally been in a very good place. 

“I didn’t drink for like 5 months. Also, since the new year, I didn’t drink five months into the year. 

“I’ve only had two occasions, but I don’t really drink much anyway – but I’m stopping again.”

The British driver’s decision to resume a teetotal lifestyle underscores his dedication to his craft and his pursuit of optimal performance on the race track. 

By abstaining from alcohol, Hamilton aims to maintain physical and mental clarity, ensuring he remains in peak condition throughout the demanding Formula One season.
