Lando Norris takes delivery of personalised McLaren 765LT Spider

Lando Norris has been rewarded for his ongoing loyalty to his Formula 1 team with a personalised McLaren 765LT Spider.

Lando Norris has a new car to get him to races after he took delivery of a brand new, personalised McLaren 765LT Spider.

Released in mid-2021 and limited to 765 cars globally, the vehicle is even more unique, having been designed personally by Norris and the McLaren MSO personalisation department.

Showing his gratitude, Norris took time out of the hectic Formula 1 season to visit the factory of the McLaren Automotive road car division to pick up the keys to his new supercar.

The car comes with blue-tinted carbon fibre on the exterior, alongside yellow accents to match the driver’s chosen colour on his racing helmets.

The 765LT provides Norris with plenty of speed at his disposal through a turbocharged 4.0 litre V-8 that offers 755 horsepower, taking him from 0-60 mph in 2.7 seconds.

The British-Belgian has driven for McLaren since 2019, currently standing at P10 in the Drivers’ Championship, having delivered a string of strong performances for the team.

While McLaren has been struggling for form during this season, Norris has attempted to be as consistent as possible behind the wheel, in the hope the team can fix its design woes.

Norris achieved a season best of P6 in Australia, bagging 8 points for the team, followed up by a further 2 points in Azerbaijan.

However, in three rounds of the season, Norris has finished in 17th place, as the McLaren’s poor design left him struggling to fight for point scoring positions.

Norris’s teammate Oscar Piastri hasn’t managed to perform much better, only netting four points in Australia with a P8 position.

In the other four races, Piastri has recorded a DNF, P15, P11 and P19.
