International pop icon Shakira was spotted in the paddock on Sunday during the Spanish Grand Prix, amid rumours that she’s started dating seven-time World Champion Lewis Hamilton.
The Spanish GP wasn’t Shakira’s first paddock appearance of the 2023 Formula 1 season, as she was also at the Miami Grand Prix earlier in the year.
Following the race in Miami, she was spotted with Hamilton on a boat, with many now suggesting that the pair could be more than friends.
Several fans took to social media to joke that Hamilton had driven incredibly well on Sunday because Shakira was in attendance, with one fan having commented that the six-time Spanish GP winner “forgot to struggle”.

Hamilton enjoyed an excellent afternoon at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to claim his second rostrum of the season, after matching his result from the Australian Grand Prix.
The Mercedes driver secured P2 for the second time this year, with him having easily picked-off the likes of Lance Stroll and Carlos Sainz in the opening stages of the race.
He ultimately didn’t have the pace to challenge reigning World Champion Max Verstappen, who secured their fifth win of the season.
Verstappen and Hamilton were joined on the podium by the Briton’s team-mate George Russell, marking an excellent 2-3 finish for Mercedes.
Hamilton admitted after the race that the team “definitely didn’t expect” to perform as well as they did, with the 38-year-old having noted that the plan now is to start “chasing” after Red Bull.
“What a result for our team,” Hamilton said post-race.

“We definitely didn’t expect to have the result we had today, so I just really want to take my hat off to my team and say a big, big thank you to everyone back at the factory for continuing to push and bring us a little bit closer to the Bulls.
“They are still a bit ahead, but we’ll keep chasing them down. This is an amazing result and George did a great job as well.
“I think they are a little bit too quick at the moment, but we are working at it, one step at a time. If we can get close by the end of the year, that would be awesome. If not, next year.”
