‘Horny for Horner’ fan raises eyebrows in Canada, but ‘will Christian risk it all?’

Christian Horner shared the amusing photo on his Instagram story.

One thing Formula 1 fans and Christian Horner likely did not anticipate this weekend was a thirsty message written on a t-shirt about him, but that can now be added to the list of remarkable things we have seen in 2022.

A fan at the Canadian Grand Prix approached the Red Bull boss for a picture during the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, with a shirt that read “Horny for Horner.”

The 48-year-old duly obliged, and shared the picture on his Instagram story, captioning it with the cry laughing face after very likely being as susprised as the rest of us.

It has naturally got a big reaction from social media users, who painted a picture of amusement, shock and horror all at the same time.

“WHY WOULD YOU TAKE A PICTURE WITH CHRISTIAN HORNER WHEN YOUR SHIRT SAYS HORNY FOR HORNER,” said one user.

“If you’re horny for Horner” please let me know, I want to block you,” added another.

It is highly doubtful that the word horny came to mind after qualifying on Saturday, but Horner will certainly have been elated after Max Verstappen claimed pole position with an astonishing performance.

The Dutchman will lead Fernando Alonso off the line on Sunday following the Spaniard’s equally impressive display in wet conditions, with Carlos Sainz behind in third.

The other Ferrari of Charles Leclerc will start 19th after he took on a completely new power unit following two failures in the last three races, while Sergio Perez ended up in P13 after a crash.

The Mexican had been struggling for pace throughout qualifying until his incident in Q2, into which he just about squeezed after spending longer than he would have liked in and around the drop zone.

With just one Ferrari and one Red Bull at the front in Canada, there could be real opportunities for Alonso in second and Sir Lewis Hamilton in fourth to finish on the podium.
