Antonio Giovinazzi, who races with Ferrari customer team Alfa Romeo, didn’t take part in last week’s Fiorano test.

However, he still has ties to the Scuderia and remains hopeful that he will eventually drive for Ferrari in Formula One, though he believes Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz will be their driver line-up for a while.

“I’m focused on myself, this is what we always do and I try to improve myself and then we will see what will happen,” Giovinazzi said in a recent interview.

“To focus on other drivers is not something that will make myself better, so I just focus on myself.

“It’s the dream [to race with Ferrari] but of course I know that Carlos [Sainz] will be there for a few years, and as well Charles [Leclerc].”

Continuing, the Italian driver said: “I’m part of that family as well and it’s great to feel the support from Ferrari.

“Now I’m racing for Alfa Romeo and I want to do the best job here so far. I’m sure that I’m doing a good job here and then we will see what the future will bring.”

Antonio Giovinazzi will continue to race with Alfa Romeo in 2021, alongside Formula One veteran and ex-Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen.
