Romain Grosjean has been voted driver of the day for this evening’s Bahrain Grand Prix.
The Frenchman won 36 percent of the vote, with many F1 fans voting for Grosjean to show that they are thinking of him and wishing him a speedy recovery after he suffered a scary crash on the opening lap.

Grosjean’s Haas crashed into the barrier on the run down to turn four at Sakhir after making contact with the AlphaTauri of Daniil Kvyat.
The high-G impact split his Haas F1 car in half and triggered a massive inferno.
Marshals and the FIA’s medical team were quickly on the scene to douse the flames and help Romain Grosjean escape the burning wreckage.
The Frenchman escaped the horror crash with burns to his wrists and ankles, and potentially a few broken ribs, the Haas F1 Team said in a statement.
It’s currently unclear if Romain Grosjean will be fit to race in next weekend’s Sakhir Grand Prix which will take place at the same venue.
