Ahead of next month’s launch of the latest Formula 1 video game – F1 23 – ex-F1 drivers Pastor Maldonado and Kamui Kobayashi have had their ratings revealed, with both set to feature in this year’s game.
F1 23 is set to launch on June 16, with the two ex-F1 drivers making a return as part of the MyTeam mode.
Both Maldonado and Kobayashi can be signed by players in the mode, where you build your own team from scratch in attempt to claim the Constructors’ Championship.
EA Sports unveiled the duos ratings during a new video where more insight was given into this season’s game, with the official launch being just over three weeks away.

Maldonado, who is best known for winning the 2012 Spanish Grand Prix whilst driving for Williams, has been awarded a driver rating of 82, lower than Kobayashi’s.
The former Sauber and Caterham driver has been awarded an impressive driver rating of 85, whilst some of his stats are also very solid.
Kobayashi was awarded a race craft rating of 94, compared to Maldonado’s 83.
The Japanese driver was also given a higher awareness rating than the Venezuelan, who did have a tendency to cause a collision.
Kobayashi boasts an awareness rating of 83, with Maldonado having been given an awareness rating of just 65.
The former Williams driver was given a higher experience and pace rating that Kobayashi, though, with EA Sports having awarded the 38-year-old a respectable 65 for experience and 85 for pace.
Kobayashi has been awarded just 60 for experience but 83 for pace.

Fans were quick to joke about Maldonado’s pace rating, given how he was at times either one of the fastest on the grid, or one of the slowest.
“Maldonado should have fluctuating pace stat. On a good day he was faster than Hamilton. Also not sure if that awareness is low enough considering he retired in third of all races he did lol,” wrote Bluwafflz on Reddit.
Also set to feature in the game as a MyTeam icon this year is reigning W Series Champion and current Indy NXT driver Jamie Chadwick; however, her rating is yet to be announced.
