Two-time Formula 1 World Champion Fernando Alonso is the TikTok star that the world didn’t know it needed, after the Spaniard took to the incredibly popular social media platform ahead of this weekend’s Azerbaijan Grand Prix.
Whilst the video itself might not look like anything special, fans were quick to notice that the audio was a Taylor Swift song.
A sped-up version of the pop star’s hit ‘Karma’ was playing in the background, whilst Alonso was scrolling through his phone.
Alonso looks up to wink at the camera, suggesting that he is very much aware of the bonkers rumour linking him to the American star.

The video was captioned ‘Race week era’ whilst he commented “Feeling 33”, in reference to another Swift song but also his next career win.
Alonso is a 32-time race winner, with the comment perhaps being a hint that he’s targeting victory in Baku, with a Swift twist!
Rumours of the pair dating rapidly circulated after it was shared by an anonymous Instagram page, with it having been noticed that both Alonso and Swift had recently become single.
The fact that Alonso is aware of the rumour perhaps means he is aware who the pop star is, after some joked that the duo probably don’t even know who each other are.
Alonso’s song choice in the TikTok was perhaps also a reference to the 2017 Italian Grand Prix, after he told the McLaren team radio that Jolyon Palmer’s retirement from the race was “karma”.
Neither Alonso nor Swift have confirmed or denied the rumour, even though they likely don’t even need to given how bizarre it is!

Alonso’s focus will presumably be on Azerbaijan this weekend rather than rumours surrounding his love life, with the Baku City Circuit set to be Aston Martin’s biggest challenge of the season.
With straight-line speed not being the Silverstone-based team’s biggest strength, they’ll likely struggle this weekend, with the likelihood being they’ll be amongst Mercedes.
If Ferrari turn their engines up then the Italians should be second in the pecking order, leaving Aston Martin and Mercedes to battle perhaps for the top five in the race.
