Daniel Ricciardo spotted with $200,000 watch

Daniel Ricciardo is known to an impressive watch collection, including one worth over $835,000.

Daniel Ricciardo has clearly been enjoying his one-year hiatus from Formula 1, with the Australian having found the time to buy a new watch worth just over $200,000.

According to Dmarge.com, Ricciardo was spotted wearing a ‘honey-gold Audemars Piguet Royal Oak “Jumbo” Extra-Thin’, worth over $200,000.

The eight-time race winner was seen wearing it whilst in Venice with girlfriend Heidi Berger, the daughter of ex-F1 driver Gerhard Berger.

The pair had been in Venice to celebrate the wedding of snowboarder Scotty James and Lance Stroll’s sister Chloe, before enjoying some downtime.

Ricciardo was snapped wearing the watch whilst on a boat, with his arm having been round his girlfriend’s shoulders.

The 33-year-old is known to have several watches, many of which he’s gained through racing for Red Bull and McLaren.

Ricciardo was given a TAG Heuer Carrera ‘Glassbox’ in recognition of his return to Red Bull as their development driver, whilst he also collected a few Richard Mille watches during his unsuccessful two-year stint at McLaren.

Ricciardo’s time at the Woking-based team was truly dreadful, with the obvious exception of his shock win at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix.

The fan favourite just never seemed to click with the team in the same way that he did so easily at Red Bull, something which perhaps resulted in his poor performances.

He was largely second-best to team-mate Lando Norris throughout their time together; however, they pair actually became very close despite their on-track performance differences.

Ricciardo simply had to leave McLaren before his career was completely finished, with his performances having only decreased his value.

Since returning to Red Bull, Ricciardo has given a few indicators into just how bad he was starting to feel at McLaren, to the point where he wasn’t eating as much.

“I don’t want to like go too far and be like, “Yeah, I was depressed” or whatever but I certainly wasn’t always eating as much,” Ricciardo told RaceFans.net.

“I think I just wasn’t feeling right. I was honestly just not like my happy self, not my normal self.

“I think as well so much was going on last year, I could feel like I had this kind of nervous energy inside me. I didn’t have an appetite as much. I was just a bit scattered. So yeah, there was certainly some of that. So I was a little thin.”
