Daniel Ricciardo’s career since his departure from Red Bull has not gone how he would have wanted it to, with unsuccessful spells with Renault and McLaren now leaving him without a race seat.
The Australian has shown glimpses of his title winning potential with both teams but other than a shock win in Monza, Ricciardo has been outclassed by his McLaren teammate Lando Norris.
The team have explained that there is no hard feeling between themselves and Ricciardo, however admit that they have exhausted every avenue to try and make their relationship with their driver a successful one.
Since being replaced at McLaren by Oscar Piastri, Ricciardo has returned to Red Bull to serve as the team’s third driver, taking part in promotional and simulator work to take some of the load away from Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez.

The 33-year-old has said that he will not be attending every race with Red Bull and it appears that he is using his free time to expand his endorsements.
An advert for Thorne Health has been spotted featuring a photograph of Ricciardo smiling, alongside having his signature in the corner.
The advert for the Gut Health test has been laughed at by F1 fans on Reddit, with one fan suggesting that this is clearly how the Australian is making his money this year.
In a reply to the advert, one fan has highlighted the strong finances of Ricciardo, who would have also received a huge pay out from McLaren to terminate his contract a year early.
“Yep, McLaren are paying him a fortune to not race their car,” began one fan’s reply.
“And RB are paying him a lesser fortune to maybe driver theirs at some point. And sponsors are paying him to promote their sh*t.

Ricciardo is not sitting back and relaxing since his release from McLaren however, as the 33-year-old has explained that his year with Red Bull is all a part of his plan to return to the grid in 2024 with a top team.
With the majority of drivers at top teams tied down to multi-year contracts it is currently unknown where Ricciardo sees his future, but wherever it may be, fans are excited to see Ricciardo return to the grid as soon as possible.
