Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen interview censored after X-rated incident

Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez and Daniel Ricciardo were in the middle of an interview when they were interrupted by two pigeons mating.

Red Bull racing had to halt a light-hearted interview at the Australian Grand Prix when an x-rated incident between two animals was caught on camera.

As the trio were engaging in a bit of banter, two pigeons began to mate loudly above the team, making the Red Bull drivers break out into fits of laughter.

“They’re [censored]. They’re [censored]!” Max Verstappen said.

“They actually are,” Daniel Ricciardo added.

Despite red flags and safety cars, Verstappen managed to hold onto his P1 position, securing his second win of the season.

Verstappen’s teammate Perez had a tougher race but still brought home a strong set of points for the team after he weaved his way from P20 to P5 by the time he reached the chequered flag.

“The race itself towards the end was a bit of a mess with all the calls,” the Dutchman said in a post-race interview.

Verstappen’s victory keeps him at the top of the Drivers’ Standings, with 69 points, over his teammate’s 54.

Aston Martin’s Fernando Alonso sits close behind in third place with 45 points, while Lewis Hamilton is in fourth with 38.

Due to back-to-back one-two finishes and a P1 and P5 in Australia, Red Bull is leading the Constructors’ race with 123 points, almost 60 points ahead of Aston Martin.
