Following revelations that her husband, Red Bull Formula One chief Christian Horner, is confronting accusations of “inappropriate and controlling behaviour” towards a female employee, Geri Horner is said to be seeking support from her Spice Girls cohort, Victoria Beckham.
Fashion designer Victoria, who has faced her own marital challenges, notably allegations of infidelity against her husband David in 2003, is reported to be standing by Geri during this tumultuous time.
However, amidst Geri’s marital turmoil, insiders suggest Victoria is somewhat peeved that their friendship hasn’t always been reciprocated over the years.
A source reveals, “Naturally Vic was concerned… While they haven’t been the best of pals, they’ve been through so much… Victoria has begun to feel that Geri wouldn’t have done the same for her and actually hasn’t in the past.”

Victoria, 49, and Geri, 51, rose to fame together as members of the Spice Girls in the ’90s.
The group, which also included Mel B, Mel C, and Emma Bunton, experienced their fair share of ups and downs, notably Geri’s abrupt departure from the band in 1998, which Victoria described as a betrayal in her memoir.
Reports indicating Victoria’s swift outreach to Geri amid the scrutiny over her husband’s conduct have resurfaced past tensions.
An insider notes, “It’s no secret that, in the past, they haven’t been the best of friends… Geri couldn’t understand why Victoria could never get back with the Spice Girls when she could do it.”
Speculation surrounding Geri’s unwavering support for Christian amidst the allegations adds strain to their friendship.

The investigation into Christian’s behaviour has yet to reach a conclusion, with a spokesperson for Red Bull stating, “It would not be appropriate to comment before the investigation is completed.”
Concerns about Geri’s presence at Victoria’s upcoming 50th birthday celebrations have also arisen.
An insider remarks, “Vic also has the dilemma of her birthday coming up… It may feel awkward to have her at her 50th, especially if she’s still with Christian, as she doesn’t want anything ruining or overshadowing her celebrations.”
