Lewis Hamilton’s former trainer Angela Cullen is seemingly making the most of no longer jetting across the globe with the 38-year-old, with the New Zealander having shared on social media some of the things she’s been getting up to.
Hamilton and Cullen started working together in 2016 and have been an inseparable duo ever since, until the recent Saudi Arabian Grand Prix where they announced that they’d decided to go their separate ways.
Since their announcement, Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff has hinted that it was the seven-time World Champion who decided to end their partnership; however, this has never been officially confirmed.
Cullen has instantly been making the most of her time, though, by taking up a lifelong dream.

Cullen has revealed that it’s always been her dream to be a fighter pilot, with the 48-year-old having taken up paragliding since her and Hamilton’s split.
She recently shared a video of her and her flying team working their way into the mountains, where she wrote an inspirational message to go along with it.
Cullen’s Instagram post read: “When taking on a new challenge or striving to achieve new goals, surround yourself with people obsessed with what you are trying to achieve… find people you trust, who are aligned with your core values who can teach you and inspire you and most of all love what you are doing and have fun along the way!”
How Hamilton will deal with Cullen’s absence remains to be truly seen, with Briton having struggled behind George Russell in Saudi Arabia.

Given his vast experience in F1, though, his performances likely won’t dip as a result of Cullen’s departure, with the Mercedes driver having shared on social media that he’s a “better person because of her”.
“For the last seven years [Angela Cullen] has been by my side, pushing me to be the best version of myself. I am a stronger athlete and a better person because of her,” Hamilton wrote on social media when announcing their split.
“So today I hope you’ll join me in wishing her the very best as she takes her next steps to pursue her dreams. Thank you for everything Ang, I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for you.”
