David Croft has revealed that AlphaTauri may adopt Red Bull’s RB19 cars for the 2024 season.
The RB19 has been utterly dominant this year, winning all 12 races this season.
Max Verstappen has secured ten pole positions, whilst his teammate Sergio Perez claimed two early wins.
Following Perez’s second-place finish at the Belgian GP, the Red Bull team have now also accumulated five 1-2 results.

If Perez maintains his second-place position in the Driver’s Standings, then the Milton Keynes-based squad will achieve a second successive double.
However, Red Bull’s junior outfit, AlphaTauri, has not seen any such success this season.
In fact, the AlphaTauri AT04 has frequently been labelled as the slowest F1 car.
AlphaTauri has gained a paltry three points this season, placing them dead last in the Constructor Standings.
Alfa Romeo sits above them at ninth, with only nine points, meaning AlphaTauri have a realistic chance of climbing up the board.
AlphaTauri’s torrid first half to the season led to the underperforming Nyck De Vries being axed following a 17th-placed finish at the British GP.
He was replaced with the more experienced Red Bull reserve driver, Daniel Ricciardo.
There are more overhauls to come, with team principal Franz Tost soon making way for Laurent Mekies.
The name of the team will even undergo a rebranding next season.
Red Bull team adviser, Helmut Marko, has stated he wishes to lend full support to the ailing AlphaTauri squad.
The Austrian said: “Co-operation with Red Bull Racing will be closer, also in terms of cost cap and synergies.”
Croft believes that the current AlphaTauri team is talented but needs some motivation to perform better – and this could come in the form of an improved vehicle for 2024.
He remarked: “Where do AlphaTauri go from here?

“Yuki Tsunoda is driving okay, scored all their points this year, Nyck de Vries didn’t work.
“I think Daniel Ricardo has come in as a motivation, not just for Yuki, but for Checo as well. And that seems to have worked in the last couple of races too.
“But does Danny Ricardo want to be racing really for AlphaTauri next year? Potentially, if AlphaTauri (has) a much better car.”
