AlphaTauri and Alpine have both announced the dates on which they will reveal their respective cars for the 2022 season.
AlphaTauri have sandwiched themselves in between McLaren and Mercedes, with them set to unveil their challenger on 14 February as they embark on their first season using Red Bull powertrains.
Honda pulled out of Formula 1 at the end of 2021 after powering Max Verstappen’s maiden world championship, while Pierre Gasly and Yuki Tsunoda scored 22 points finishes between them last year en route to a sixth-placed Constructors’ Championship finish.

Gasly managed a sublime podium finish at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, and out-qualified the Japanese rookie 21-1.
The Frenchman will want to build on what he believed was his “most consistent” season yet last year.
“I think our car was generally strong in quali more than the race, and finding in terms of set-up and potential to extract the maximum, I feel I’ve made a step, you get more confident, this year was probably my most consistent year,” he said.
Alpine, meanwhile, are to unveil their challenger on 21 February, one week after the Faenza-based team, and will be developing their Renault power unit for the first time since 2018.
They ran an enlarged airbox in 2021 to accommodate the dated power unit, as Fernando Alonso and Esteban Ocon guided them to a nonplussing P5 finish in the Constructors’ Standings.
Alonso returned to F1 in 2021 with the Enstone team, which he claimed both his world titles in 2005 and 2006.
He and team-mate Ocon ended the qualifying battle all square, and the Frenchman claimed a victory in Hungary while Alonso finished third in Qatar.
The 25-year-old believes that the team that brought Alonso both of his world titles in 2005 and 2006 can soon return to the top of the pinnacle of motorsport.

“We know there are improvements on the way and the people building this car won a lot of races and two titles not too many years ago,” said Ocon, as quoted by AS.
Technical regulations mean that teams will be working with a new design concept this year, as the ground effect makes a return amid significant aerodynamic changes.
Red Bull, Alfa Romeo, Williams and Haas are now the only teams yet to announce their release dates for their 2022 machines.
Both Alpine and AlphaTauri have retained their driver line-ups for this year.
