Lewis Hamilton has won the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix ahead of Red Bull driver Max Verstappen.
Hamilton started on pole and commanded the grand prix, though he said in a post-race interview that it was a challenging victory as Verstappen pushed him all the way.

Alex Albon benefitted from Sergio Perez’s late retirement to move up to P3 to claim his second podium of 2020.
McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz finished fourth and fifth, respectively, to propel the Woking-based team into third in the Constructors’ Standings as they outscored the two Renaults and Racing Point.
With Lance Stroll being rolled over by Daniil Kvyat early in the race, neither Racing Point finished the Bahrain Grand Prix.
Pierre Gasly made an alternative strategy work and took advantage of safety car conditions at the end to finish in P6, ahead of Daniel Ricciardo and Valtteri Bottas.
Bottas started on the front row of the grid but had a poor launch and suffered a puncture which forced him into an early pitstop.
Esteban Ocon and Charles Leclerc finished in ninth and tenth position.
Aside from Stroll and Perez, the only retirement was Romain Grosjean. The Frenchman suffered a horror crash on the first lap on the run down to turn four.
Upon impact, his Haas car was split in half and a huge fire was ignited.
Thankfully, Grosjean escaped the fire with only burns to his ankles and wrists, and potentially broken ribs, according to Haas.
It’s unclear if he will be fit to race in the second round of the double-header at Bahrain.
