3 Formula 1 Questions You Need Answered Before New Season

The pre-season testing for the Formula 1 2023 season was completed in Bahrain in the last week of February. During the three days, the Formula 1 team completed 3,992 laps, covering a total distance of 21,603 km.

As the dust settles, we already see an order in the chaos. No matter what you are working to do right now, whether it is to dissertation writers for a college assignment or prepare for an office meeting, if you are a fan of Formula 1, then you might be curious about the upcoming season, just like the rest of us.

For instance, what are the biggest takeaways from the Formula 1 pre-season? And what can we expect in the upcoming race days?

Here are the three key questions that popped into our minds during the pre-season and the most-awaited answers for them.

  1. Will Red Bull, the Reigning Champions, Win Again?

Red Bull dominated the pre-season, with the testing going as close to perfect as the world champions could have hoped. Not only during the testing, but the qualifiers also turned out well for Red bull.

In the qualifying session, they were the front-runners, with a lead of about 0.28 seconds over Mercedes. Similarly, in race simulations, they were the best in their category, holding a lead of 0.16 seconds over their competitors.

Max Verstappen, a two-time champion, also exhibited an impressive performance of his winning strategy as he swiftly began to test the limits of his RB19. This car is an upgraded version of RB18, which won 17 out of 22 races in the previous year.

Based on this performance, Red Bull and Verstappen are heading to 2023 as favorites.

  1. Can Ferrari Take on Red Bull?

Not so far behind Red Bull is Ferrari, which completed a very productive pre-season test. Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc clocked an impressive 417 laps, and the dynamic duo seems to have high hopes for the upcoming season.

The Scuderia has also made some significant changes, which makes their power units more robust. On the other hand, Mercedes had a disappointing pre-season altogether. We don’t expect the team doesn’t expect to take on any race wins this year.

  1. Will Alonso and Aston Martin Surprise Us?

The two-time world champion, Alonso, has made a big move during the off-season by joining Aston Martin for the 2023 season. This is quite a major change as he was previously with Alpine for two years. And undeniably, this move is shaping up to be one of the biggest stories of the upcoming season.

The AMR23 appeared to be in great shape and, more importantly, proved to be fast on the track. There are some speculations that the car might be a significant leap forward, especially since it was designed by a group of individuals who were recruited from Mercedes and Red Bull.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Alonso-Aston combo would be big enough to take a win this year.

All eyes are on these three teams this year, and we can’t wait to see what the new season will bring us.
