Red Bull have unveiled their 2021 car, the RB16B, with the team releasing the first images of the race car on Tuesday.

As you can tell from its name, Red Bull’s 2021 challenger is closely based on last year’s car, the RB16, and it will be the team’s last Honda-powered challenger of the V6 turbo-hybrid era.

Red Bull will be hoping that the RB16B will prove competitive enough to allow them to take the fight to Mercedes from the get-go and end their seven-year title drought.

They last won the Drivers’ Championship with Sebastian Vettel in 2013, and they finished second in the 2020 Constructors’ Championship, 235 points adrift of the dominant Silver Arrows.

The team’s revised driver line-up, which consists of Dutch ace Max Verstappen and new signing Sergio Perez, should help them mount a more sustained title challenge against Mercedes and other surprise front-runners.

How Perez performs against Verstappen in equal machinery will be one of the main talking points of the season, especially in the early rounds, and it will be interesting to see if the RB16B also proves to be a handful like its predecessor.
