Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari Accidentally Intercepted Lewis Hamilton’s Radio Feed

The technical issue occurred in the final practice session of the weekend at Portimao.

The Portuguese Grand Prix was a very strong weekend for Charles Leclerc, with him qualifying fourth on the grid and, importantly, crossing the finish line in the same position.

However, his preparations for qualifying and the race were slightly disrupted in Free Practice Three (FP3), as Leclerc reported hearing other teams’ radio feeds.

“What’s happening? What’s happening? Why am I hearing the radio of the others?” Leclerc asked his race engineer.

“I was hearing Hamilton on the radio. I mean I was hearing an engineer or someone,” he added.

It remains unclear why this technical glitch occurred, but, thankfully, the issue didn’t reappear in the race.
